The team finished the main surfacing works this afternoon, marking significant progress toward final delivery for the local council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the <strong>overlay works scheduled for Monday<\/strong>, this project is now entering its final phase \u2014 and we\u2019re excited to see another high-standard surface ready for public use by early next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Buckbarrow Bridge project involved the renewal and surfacing of a key section of carriageway using <strong>Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA)<\/strong> \u2014 chosen for its durability, skid resistance and proven performance in high-traffic and weather-exposed environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our scope of work included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Removal of the existing worn surface and preparation of the bridge deck.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application of new HRA surfacing to restore strength and structural integrity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordination with council engineers to maintain access and ensure compliance with bridge weight restrictions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Traffic management and safe site operation throughout the works period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Today\u2019s milestone<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our crews successfully completed the HRA laying this afternoon, achieving a smooth, high-quality finish across the full bridge span. The <strong>final overlay works<\/strong> will be carried out on <strong>Monday<\/strong>, after which the project will be fully completed and handed over to the council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Safety and precision at every step<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bridge surfacing presents unique challenges \u2014 from limited working space to temperature-sensitive materials.
